Vision Fire Safety provides a comprehensive list of services:

Fire Safety Plans:
Fire Safety Plans are required for larger apartment buildings, commercial office spaces, restaurants, bars, schools and other gathering places. Vision Fire Safety will develop a comprehensive Fire safety Plan custom suited to your building.
A Fire Safety Plan includes:

√ A comprehensive audit of the building resources
√ Responsibilities and duties of staff during an emergency incident
√ Emergency procedures to be carried out
√ Methods of controlling and confining the problem
√ Schematic drawings of the building which locate all fire safety equipment, utility /service rooms etc.

Evacuation Maps:
Evacuation maps are to be displayed throughout the building as per the Fire Safety Plan. These maps help direct occupants to safely exit the building in the event of an emergency incident.

Hotel Building Audits:
Prior to 2007, Hotels were regulated under The Hotel Fire Safety Act.
As of January 1, 2007, hotels became subject to full compliance of the Fire Code. We recommend that hotel owners/operators review the requirements in Part 1-8 of the Fire Code to determine the specific provisions that may apply to their building.
As of January 1, 2007, Retrofit Part 9.9 of the Fire Code was introduced, with compliance dates ranging from January 1, 2007 to January 1, 2012.
A complete Building Audit was to be completed by January 1, 2007. Fire Departments expect compliance to this requirement.
The various components of Part 9.9 Retrofit include, but are not limited to;
√ Elements to contain a fire (e.g. fire separation of a boiler room)
√ Egress routes (e.g. stairwells, corridors)
√ Early warning systems (e.g. fire alarm systems)
√ Fire suppression systems (e.g. sprinklers, standpipes)

To ensure that your hotel/motel conforms, Vision Fire Safety will complete the Building Audit. This will lay out the requirements and the related compliance dates. The Building Audit will identify any areas of the building that are deficient and require upgrading. The Building Audit must be retained and made available to an Assistant to the Fire Marshall upon request.

Retrofit Inspections:
Sections 9.5 and 9.8 (Retrofit) of the Fire Code spell out the various requirements to ensure safe living spaces for occupants of residential apartments. Areas of concern include;
√ Separation (e.g. fire separation between dwellings units and common areas)
√ Means of egress ( method of evacuating the building)
√ Fire Alarms and detection
√ Electrical safety (ESA inspection of all 9.8 buildings)
√ Protection of openings to Fire Escapes (new requirements as of November 2007)
√ Suppression (sprinklers may be used as an option to containment or egress requirements)
